Ottawa health navigation

Find care and services without the runaround.

Start with the official pathway whenever possible. Community directories can help you explore local options, but clinic availability, hours and services change—always confirm directly before travelling or registering.

X-ray and ultrasound—choose the right service

X-ray and ultrasound have different booking rules and locations. Open the Health Haven page for the exact test written on your requisition. Each page lists Ottawa locations and links back to the imaging companies’ original websites.

Original provider websites: Canadian Diagnostic Network ↗ · Merivale Medical Imaging ↗ · Bio-Test ↗

Bring your requisition and health card. Confirm the clinic performs your exact examination and check current hours before travelling.

Find a family doctor or nurse practitioner

Health Haven is not accepting new patients and does not maintain a registration waitlist. If you need a primary-care clinician, use the official and community resources below rather than calling the clinic to register.

Health Care Connect is Ontario’s official matching program for people without a family doctor or nurse practitioner. Registration requires a valid Ontario health card. You can register online or call 811.

The Ottawa clinic list is community-maintained and reports being reviewed every 4–6 months. Health Haven does not maintain or verify individual openings. Apply directly through each clinic’s own website or phone number.

Before you call Health HavenCheck the linked service’s website for current hours, booking rules and eligibility. This page is navigation support and does not replace medical advice or confirm that a particular clinic is accepting patients.
